Our testing approach

A clear scope.
A thorough test.
A useful next step.

Good security work starts with understanding your business and ends with advice your team can use.

Discuss an assessment
  1. 01

    Understand what matters

We discuss your goals, environment and concerns, then agree on scope, timing and the rules for testing.

  2. 02

    Assess and investigate

We examine the agreed scope, validate findings and consider what the weaknesses could mean for your business.

  3. 03

    Explain and prioritize

We bring the results together in a clear report and walk through the findings, recommendations and priorities with your team.

  4. 04

    Plan what comes next

We help you understand the remediation options and agree on any follow-up support or retesting you need.

The work should be useful

Findings that lead
to better decisions.

Your leadership needs the bigger picture. Your technical team needs the detail. An assessment should give both a clear place to start.

  • Understand the risk and business context.
  • See the evidence behind each finding.
  • Focus effort on meaningful improvements.

Before we begin

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What can you assess?

We provide penetration testing for cloud environments, networks, web applications, APIs, and iOS and Android applications. Consulting engagements help you understand your security priorities and plan improvements. Tabletop exercises help your team practice incident response. Each project has an agreed scope.

What if we aren’t sure where to start?

Start with a conversation about your business and the concern you’re trying to address. We can help you identify useful next steps and decide whether testing, consulting, a tabletop exercise or a combination is appropriate.

How are scope, timing and price decided?

We consider the size and complexity of your environment, application features, user roles, cloud accounts, network boundaries and the depth of assessment you need. We agree on scope, timing and fees before the work begins.

Can an assessment cover several parts of our environment?

Yes. We can scope an engagement across related systems, such as a mobile application and its API, or your cloud environment and connected networks. The proposal sets out which components and activities are included.

How do you manage the impact of testing?

We discuss the environment, timing, permitted activities, exclusions and points of contact before testing. We agree on a way to stop or adjust work if necessary. Operational risk is considered as part of planning the engagement.

What happens after the report?

We walk through the results and recommendations with your team. Additional consulting and retesting can be scoped to support remediation. Your proposal will explain the follow-up included in the engagement.

What is a tabletop exercise?

A tabletop exercise is a guided discussion of a realistic incident scenario. Your team works through decisions, responsibilities, communications and recovery priorities. We facilitate the session and summarize observations and recommended improvements.

Who should join a tabletop exercise?

We agree on participants around the scenario and your goals. The session may bring together leadership, IT or security, operations and the people responsible for communications, legal advice or key suppliers.
